About Mrs. Davis
Hello, my name is Lyndi Davis. This is my twenty-second year teaching. I am thrilled to be part of a school district that cares so much about helping kids achieve!
I grew up in McLeansboro, Illinois. I continued my education and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1997. In 2000, I completed a Master's Degree in Educational Administration / Master's of Science in Education. I received my reading certification from McKendree College in 2007. In May of 2018, I walked through the graduation line at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. My children, parents and husband were there to witness my completion of my reading specialist degree.
I began teaching jr. high mathematics, coaching volleyball and softball, and club sponsors of Jr. Beta club and the Mathcounts team. I then taught fifth grade here at Rogers Elementary for ten years. For the next five years of my teaching career, I taught eighth grade reading and history at Waterloo Jr. High. For the past four years, I have been back home at Rogers Elementary as a Reading Specialist.
My husband, Kelton, and I stay busy with our two terrific kids and dogs. We enjoy swimming, outdoors, games, movies and reading books. We are also active members of our church and enjoy spending time with our friends and extended family.
